AIMS
The aim of the role is to develop and maintain a consistent revenue
stream through the creation of new accounts and by ensuring that
the potential of established accounts is fully realised.
An important part of the job is to develop new business from new
marketing and list generation initiatives.
REPORTING
This position reports to the Sales Manager and is a full time role
in the Sales Department.
QUALITIES AND EXPERIENCE
Individuals will have a successful track record in the creation
and development of major accounts. They should have at least 18
months experience in the training marketplace and able to demonstrate
a significant track record in selling to achieve and exceed target
Individuals should be self starters able to command respect and
work co-operatively within a team environment.
MAIN AREAS OF THE JOB
- Consistently win new business within the target market
- Maximise the opportunities within a sales territory
- Work effectively with trainers and sales support
- Work towards meeting an annual target for both Instructor Led
and E Learning business
TARGETS AND QUALITY
As part of the measurement of success within the role it is vital
that sales targets are achieved, however it is important that Account
Managers recognise the quality issues of their work and that these
criteria will be an essential part of the appraisal process. It
may be possible to receive a favourable review in light of good
progress in quality areas even if target has not been quite achieved.
Candidates must be prepared to demonstrate their commitment and
accountability, a positive "can do "attitude, adaptability
and the ability to work effectively within a strong team environment.
