- Training By Objectives
Every course has specific objectives that are devised using SMART
criteria. Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Related to work and
Time bound.
- Create a Desire to Learn
To stimulate learning the trainer must create a need or desire.
Consider the question asked by each learner "What's in it for
me?" and this should encourage the trainer to relate the objectives
of the course to the "needs" of the learner.
- Test Understanding
The learner is encouraged to complete exercises to stimulate their
minds and encourage active participation in sessions. Questioning
Techniques are used by all trainers to discourage passive learning
in the group and at the same time enabling the learner to think
for themselves to increase retention of the learning material.
