COURSE DESCRIPTION

This hands-on course is suitable for users who will work with the advanced website features in Dreamweaver.

Target audience

This course is designed for students who have completed the Dreamweaver 4 Foundation course & who want to learn many of Dreamweaver’s advanced features to create interesting and exciting websites with efficiency.

At course completion

After completing this course, participants will be able to:

Work with libraries to create web pages that incorporate repetitive elements.
~     
Use style sheets to increase control over the appearance of text beyond HTML tags.
~     
Create rollovers to add visual interest to navigation controls on a site.
~     
Work with Dreamweaver’s behaviours to control dynamic page content.
~     
Define head elements, including keyword & description tags.
~     
Work with layers to gain precise layout control of page elements.
~     
Utilise timelines to sequence events on a page.
~     
Assure compatibility with multiple browser versions using browser targeting.

Prerequisites

Participants are expected to be familiar with Windows 95, 98, NT4, 2000 Primer, and have experience using Macromedia Dreamweaver 4.
